A fully functioning organic farm and agricultural community, the apple farm specializes in growing and processing its namesake--apples-- they also offer weekend cooking classes and an opportunity to experience the bounty of nature. The Apple Farm offers three uniquely designed cottages set amidst the apple orchard providing that cozy, country feel. The cottages are reserved on the weekends for the cooking classes but a midweek rate is offered at $175 per night.

Located in the heart of Boonville, old-fashioned flair with new world cuisine. Wednesday night's are popular among the local's with a three course set menu. The hotel is equipped with eight rooms each designed with an intricate décor of its own. The rates range from $100 to $200 with a 2-day minimum stay on the weekends. A bungalow and studio are also offered for a more secluded creekside setting, each offered at $250 a night. The studio is wheel chair accessible and pet friendly.

This cheerful cabin is a great place for a relaxing country get-away only 2-½ hours north of the Golden Gate in Mendocino County. Located near Philo in Anderson Valley, its a few minutes away from some of the states best wineries in Northern California. Rates are $150 per night with a two night minimum stay; additional person $35. Half of the payment is due upon reservation. They don’t accept credit cards, only checks. Upon receipt of your check, you will receive detailed directions to the cabin.

The Hendy Woods campground is open all year. Reservations are recommended mid-May through mid-September. Up to eight people may occupy a campsite. Cabin sites accommodate up to six people. The Griffin House was built around 1890 as well as their eatery, Bridget Dolan’s Pub. The other cottages were constructed in the 1920’s and all nestled high on the cliff’s overlooking the Pacific. Each are individually decorated and furnished to provide the utmost in coastal comfort. The cottages are complete with private bathrooms outfitted with bathrobes and claw foot tubs, perfect for bubble baths. Breakfast is served on a tray between 8:30 and 9:30am right to your door. The Sandpiper House was built in 1916 by the Goodyear Redwood Lumber Company. The interior of the house is decorated in the classic style of a European Country Inn. The Inn offers five spacious rooms, each one special and individually decorated with antiques, comfort chairs, fresh flowers, and either a king or queen size beds with down comforters, feather pillows, and fine linens. The house is white with the ocean spray fade that only time can paint. Perennial gardens surround the house and a rose arbor leads you out to a nicely landscaped lawn embraced by flower beds stretching out to the edge of the bluff. Rates are $155-$260 and are based on double occupancy.

The Beachcomber Motel sits on a nice stretch of coastal front and offers something for every vacation fund. Family owned and operated since 1971. The Emerald Dolphin Inn is located at the southern end of Ft. Bragg. It is one of the newer accommodations on the coast. The Inn is in walking distance of the Pomo Bluffs Park, which provides a dramatic ocean setting. The Inn is also a stones throw away from the College of the Redwoods extension in Ft. Bragg. An 18-hole mini golf course is the main attraction to the hotel; guests are given discounted greens fee. The course is also open to the general public for $7.50 for adults and $6.50 for children. Pet rooms are available but must be requested at the time of reservation. Rates range from $59.00 - $199.00, starting at $49.00 for single occupancy.

St.Orres provides a unique hospitality experience on the south coast of Mendocino. It is designed in a Russian architecture theme to venerate the earliest settlers from Jenner to Gualala. This was settled to grow agricultural products for the Russian settlements in Alaska. The property consists of fifty acres that have eight rooms in the hotel and five separate cottages known as the Meadows Cottages. The Inn at Schoolhouse Creek is credited with being the oldest resort on the north coast. It was constructed in 1932 after the completion of the “Shoreline Highway”, now Highway 1. The Little River Inn began as a family home built in the 1850’s by Silas Coombs, a lumberman from Maine. This was the home for the Coombs family until, Cora Coombs, Silas’s granddaughter met and married Ole Hervilla. Ole was of Finnish/Swedish decent. He moved to Ft. Bragg from Utah to live with his brother in a well established Finnish community. In 1939 Cora and Ole bought the home in Little River and opened the Inn. Ole converted Cora’s grandmother’s living room into his bar, where he conducted most of his business. Danny Hervilla and wife Susan McKinney now maintain the Inn with the same warm welcome as their parents. Little River has ten room types to chose from that range $95.00-$350. They are also equipped with a nine-hole regulation course with cart and clubs for rent. Tennis courts are available for guests at no charge and are $10.00 to the public. The Inn offers breakfast and brunch. Dinner is served in two fashions. Elegant dining and exquisite entrees are found in the dining room. Ole's bar caters a more casual menu.

This 1888 coastal Victorian is one we all have admired since 1984 as the home of Murder She Wrote star Jessica Fletcher. The Blair House Inn has five different lodging units to choose from. The main house includes three bedrooms and a suite. Located behind the house rests the Blair cottage, the only pet friendly room the Inn has to offer. The house sits at a nice median between the Headlands State Park and the shops of Mendocino. Room rates range from $100-$210. Pets are welcome. There is a $25.00 charge per stay, for the first pet. Additional pets are $12.50. We will supply bowls for food and water, litter bags, treat, covers to protect furniture and bedding. Dog beds available on request.

The Sweetwater Spa and Inn is the utmost rejuvenation station in the village of Mendocino. The Sweetwater and the Sears Towers are both working water towers storing water for the spa and the inn. The Redwood Tower has been converted to a lovely ocean and river viewing deck. The Sweetwater has six accommodations in Little River all of which are pet friendly and include complimentary use of the hot tub and spa. These rooms provide more of an intimate natural setting. All lodging has a kitchenette, fireplace, and some with private hot tubs. Room rates range from $75.00 - $295.
