Babydoll Sheep and Lamb Cam

These pregnant ewes are probably going to have their lambs some time in the next week. Sorry, we can't give you an exact time. We bring them into the barn each evening and let them out to pasture in the morning, so feel free to check back on Navarro's sheep cam when you have time. If you are lucky you will catch sight of a babydoll lamb being born. Sometimes a human has to help pull the lamb out. After the ewe and lamb stand up we move them to a nursery pen.

We are currently experiencing storms and power outages in the Anderson Valley that may stop the sheep cam. (Of course, two lambs were born in the total darkness on Tuesday night.) We also may bring a ewe into the barn during the day if she looks ready to give birth. Using sheep to mow between the vineyard rows is a lot less predictable than using tractors and fossil fuels but we are delighted to have them as part of Navarro's viticultural team.

Camera will reload every 5 seconds.
