This harvest is Navarro's twenty-fifth. Usually we're not gushy about celebrations, but we felt like we wanted to mark this occasion in some way. Making wine is not just like making catsup. Growing grapes has been a human endeavor for thousands of years, and writers, more gifted than ourselves, have been commenting on wine for millennia. We decided to go through our scrapbooks for the last quarter century and pick out some of our most treasured photos of family, staff, friends and the vineyard. We combined them with some of our favorite quotes about wine and bound them together in a book covered with hand-made rice paper. |
