Party animal Recent Press Navarro Kitchen

We enjoy being a small family winery; many of our customers have become good friends who come back to visit year after year. We've gotten to know each other on a first name basis. There is one problem with being small however, which is that there is not always enough of our very favorite wine to go around. Pinot Noir Deep End Blend is currently Navarro's most popular red. To ensure that our long term customers get the first shot at this wine we hold an annual August Futures and Barrel Tasting for Navarro Pre-Release members. To be honest, it feels more like a garden party. Almost all of this special lot of Pinot Noir sold out before it was even bottled. There are, however, about 26 cases still remaining. It is 100% from grapes grown right here on Navarro Ranch and 88% comes from the latest French clones in our most technically advanced vineyards. When Navarro's staff tasted it recently the best observation was simply: "Super Duper." So, if you're not yet a Pre-Release member or if you're concerned that you didn't buy enough last summer, here's a last chance to party with the best. Rich aromas of strawberry, lavender, vanilla smoke and clove with a smooth satin mouth feel. Gold Medal winner. Best of Class.

Navarro prefers to age the Deep End Pinot Noir in barrels that are made at Tonnellerie Remond in Burgundy. Bill, Navarro's Pre-Release manager finds that they make pretty good party tables too.

Hannah's dad Mark works in Navarro's tasting room and she's not one to miss a party.

"94 Points- The color of this lovely Pinot sparkles like a brilliant ruby. The aromatics are full and forward with deep black cherry, leather and the subtle scent of boiled beets. It feels good in the mouth, with supple fruit flavors, good acidity and refined tannins. This is an inviting Pinot with depth, complexity and potential." Gerald D. Boyd, winereviewonline.com
Pat, Navarro's tasting room manager, suggested a new name for the Deep End Pinot Noir. She thinks we should call it Super Duper Pinot.
