Located in the heart of Boonville, old-fashioned flair with new world cuisine. Wednesday night's are popular among the local's with a three course set menu. The Griffin House was built around 1890 as well as their eatery, Bridget Dolan’s Pub. The other cottages were constructed in the 1920’s and all nestled high on the cliff’s overlooking the Pacific. The Sandpiper House was built in 1916 by the Goodyear Redwood Lumber Company. The interior of the house is decorated in the classic style of a European Country Inn. The Inn offers five spacious rooms, each one special and individually decorated with antiques, comfort chairs, fresh flowers, and either a king or queen size beds with down comforters, feather pillows, and fine linens. The house is white with the ocean spray fade that only time can paint. The Emerald Dolphin Inn is located at the southern end of Ft. Bragg. It is one of the newer accommodations on the coast. The Inn is in walking distance of the Pomo Bluffs Park, which provides a dramatic ocean setting. The Inn is also a stones throw away from the College of the Redwoods extension in Ft. Bragg. An 18-hole mini golf course is the main attraction to the hotel; guests are given discounted greens fee. The course is also open to the general public for $7.50 for adults and $6.50 for children. The Little River Inn began as a family home built in the 1850’s by Silas Coombs, a lumberman from Maine. This was the home for the Coombs family until, Cora Coombs, Silas’s granddaughter met and married Ole Hervilla. Ole was of Finnish/Swedish decent. He moved to Ft. Bragg from Utah to live with his brother in a well established Finnish community. In 1939 Cora and Ole bought the home in Little River and opened the Inn. Ole converted Cora’s grandmother’s living room into his bar, where he conducted most of his business. Danny Hervilla and wife Susan McKinney now maintain the Inn with the same warm welcome as their parents. Little River has ten room types to chose from that range $95.00-$350. They are also equipped with a nine-hole regulation course with cart and clubs for rent. Tennis courts are available for guests at no charge and are $10.00 to the public.
